I'd like to start building a relationship with a distributor, mainly to make things easier if we have a problem and need to RMA. (although I'd love to get into higher volume). You can't easily browse for something general like "14 inch laptops".Ĭurrently we resell Lenovo laptops and desktops that I buy from Newegg/Amazon, Most of our orders are for 1-5 computers, and maybe a server, switch and NAS here and there. Searching on these sites is also pretty difficult, unless you know the EXACT model number you're looking for. (go to order something, only to find out its out of stock). Their websites were also pretty awful as far as ordering goes. In the past, I've signed up with Ingram and Tech data, but both had much higher prices, and longer shipping times than i could get vs buying through Amazon or Newegg. Currently we use a mix of Newegg, Tigerdirect, Provantage and Amazon to buy our parts (mostly Amazon and Newegg). We're a smaller MSP that's looking to get our ordering some what standardized as we're starting to grow.
